ADVANTAGES

ECS mobile sawmill services, gives opportunity for customers to utilize wood that would normally go unused. We speicalize in urban timbers and giving new life to downed backyard trees. This mill not only cuts travel time to and from a mill but it also gives the customer many more options for a variety of sizes, cuts, and other specifications.

CUSTOM SAWMILL OPERATIONS

We provide a variety of lumber cuts and sizes, giving the customer the ability to choose the cuts of lumber they desire without settling to the more basic sizes and wood varieties that are found in the big box stores. Every job is different and we strive to accommodate the orders no matter what the size.

We specialize in our portable sawmill services, providing a unique opportunity to receive custom lumber request right in your back yard! With Skid Steer assistance and 12 years of mobile saw-milling experience we a prepared for any opportunity!

MOBILE SAWMILL RATES

 

  • Since each job is different, we like to visit each site prior to mobilization to determine the best set up area with you. We can also make arrangements for dealing with the cut lumber as well as the slabs (waste).  After seeing the logs and the site we can give you an estimated quantity and can quote a firm price to you for the specific size lumber you desire.

  • We can also compliment the sawmill with skid steer services for projects that require logs/slabs to be moved.

  • The prices above are general. Rates may be less if the timber is straight, soft and cut "dimensionally". Rates may be more if the timber is crooked, hard and "quarter sawn".  Mobilization rates also vary according to each location.  Whatever your requirements may be, we strive to accommodate your requests.

NEED LOGS MOVED?!?

We're always happy to help handle some of the logistical issues when it comes to transporting logs. Sometimes it's not possible to saw on location, if this is the case we're glad to pick up your logs and saw at our home base location in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

TERMINOLOGY

Board Foot A volume measurement of wood.
1 board foot (bf) = 1foot wide x 1foot long x 1inch thick
Cant The block of wood remaining from a log after removing the bark.
Kerf The thickness of wood that is removed with one pass of the blade.
